At the International University of Novi Pazar, 07.12.2013. year, was held the first lecture within the course “Intercultural understanding, human rights and reconciliation” for the so-called students studying during the work, that is, for graduates of elementary studies, students of master studies and employees in various institutions, organizations and agencies that applied to attend this course. This course is the part of realization of the project “Building Bridges Not walls: Role of the University in Peace Building ” by the Norwegian Helsinki Committee from Oslo.

The first lecture was delivered by Doc. dr Aleksandar R. Ivanovic, president of the association “Monitor”. Professor Ivanovic first introduced the participants with the goal, the expected outcomes and the way of realization of the course, as well as the content of the new book for the subject “Intercultural understanding, human rights and reconciliation”. After getting acquainted with the way of work and thematic units, Professor Ivanovic gave a lecture on “Tolerance as a necessary factor of intercultural understanding and peaceful resolution of conflicts”.
