Public call for the position of researcher on the project

Association of citizens MONITOR within the project “Girls and women security friendly public areas”, which is implemented in cooperation with the Association of citizens REAKT from Novi Pazar, and with the support of UN Women as part of the program “Safety of women and girls in public spaces” supported by the Embassy of the United of the Kingdom, in the period from December 2022 to December 2022, announces a public call for position 4 service provider for conducting research on selected public areas.

Necessary qualifications:

  • Place of residence in the territory of the city of Novi Pazar;
  • Completed basic academic studies, i.e. first degree studies (VII-1 degree of vocational education);
  • Minimum of 3 years of work in the civil sector;
  • Experience in the realization of at least 3 researches as a researcher (interviewer).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in conducting focus group interviews.

Description of tasks and jobs:

  • attending a one-day training for conducting research within the project;
  • conducting research through a questionnaire (survey) on girls’ and women’s perception of security risks and threats in selected public areas in Novi Pazar in cooperation with the Project Coordinator (at least 100 respondents per one public area);
  • realization of interviews with focus groups (4 selected focus groups), according to the given methodological instructions (at least 10 interviewees per focus group);
  • entering data collected through surveys and interviews with focus groups into an online platform for processing them.

Working conditions, period and type of engagement:

The engagement envisages the performance of tasks as part of part-time work: 20 hours during the working week. The engagement is planned for a period of 3 months, i.e. 15 weeks, which will be implemented in the period from February 1, 2023 to April 30, 2023, according to the dynamics of implementation determined by the Project Coordinator. The selected service providers will be engaged by the Copyright Agreement. The engaged service provider will be paid a fee in the gross amount of 45,000 dinars.

  • a cover letter (up to 500 words), which answers the key questions: What does the candidate particularly recommend for performing this engagement? What direct experiences does the candidate have that are relevant to this public call? Why are they motivated to be hired to conduct research on the project?

Late applications will not be considered for selection.

All information related to this public call, requests for clarification and other information can be obtained by interested candidates exclusively in writing, via email info@monitor.org.rs  with the email subject: Inquiry regarding public call. Inquiries can be sent until January 18, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. Answers to all questions received by the deadline for inquiries will be submitted no later than January 20, 2023 by 4:00 p.m.

The results of the selection are expected by January 31, 2023, when a cooperation agreement will be signed with the selected expert. The planned start of work engagement is February 1st, 2023.
