As part of the series “Fighting Discrimination and Promoting Intercultural Dialogue and Trust Building”, the sixth episode of the video tutorial entitled “Interculturality: Key Definitions and Methods” was published. The series of video tutorials “Fight against discrimination and promotion of intercultural dialogue and building trust” was filmed by the citizens’ association MONITOR from Novi Pazar in partnership with the City of Novi Pazar, and with the financial support of the European Union and the Council of Europe, through joint program “Promotion of diversity and equality in Serbia”.

This episode of the series deals with key definitions and methods for practicing interculturality. In a conversation with the guest of this episode, Dr Amra Hodžić-Jejna, doctor of linguistics, editor of the exhibition program of the Gallery of the Cultural Center Novi Pazar, we tried to acquaint viewers with key segments of interculturalism, as well as ways to practice it.

The content of the video tutorial includes the following thematic units:
1. ON THE CONCEPT AND SIGNIFICANCE OF CULTURAL IDENTITY;
2. DEFINITIONS OF CULTURE AND CULTURE SEGMENTS;
3. MODELS OF CULTURAL INTEGRATION – HISTORICAL OVERVIEW;

5. OBSTACLES TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION;
6. ON INTERCULTURAL COMPETENCES.
