On May 17th 2022 the City of Novi Pazar has been accepted into the membership of the global initiative Partnership for Open Government Local together with 30 local governments from around the world.

The membership in this initiative at the world level has numbered 76 local self governments so far this year. That number has been increased by another 30 local self governments, including the City of Novi Pazar.

By membership in this initiative, the City of Novi Pazar has shown the intention to establish a strong partnership with civil society organizations at the local level, with the desire to make local self government as open, inclusive, facilitate citizen participation in public policy making at the local community level and strengthen mutual trust .
