Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Ivanović, on behalf of the MONITOR citizens’ association from Novi Pazar, took part in the Regional final conference of the Joint Program of the European Union and the Council of Europe “Horizontal facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022” on September 27 and 28, 2022, within the session Combating discrimination and protection of the rights of vulnerable groups.

In this session, Professor Ivanović presented the impacts achieved by the implementation of the project “Fight against discrimination and promotion of intercultural dialogue and trust building” from October to April 2021 and the project “Fight against discrimination, online hate speech and toxic narratives in multicultural regions of Serbia”. from July to September 2020, which are supported by this program. He also presented the experiences and challenges that CSO MONITOR encountered in the implementation of these projects, and pointed out the areas where there is room for intervention in the future, all with the aim of raising the level of protection of the human right to equality and non-discrimination.
