The sixth consultative meeting with young leaders aimed to introduce them to the My Novi Pazar application and its available features. Young leaders were given the opportunity to test the app and become directly familiar with its functionalities, in order to assess how useful this platform can be for them and their communities.

During the meeting, the app’s developers had the chance to hear feedback from the youth and learn how the app performs in real-world settings, as well as how it could be improved and better adapted to meet their needs. It was particularly important to hear the perspectives of young leaders regarding the app’s potential to actively involve citizens in local decision-making processes, with a focus on participation in public consultations.

One of the key discussion points was the app’s significance in enabling citizen participation in local budget decision-making. Through the My Novi Pazar app, citizens can access information about draft budget decisions, ask questions, and submit suggestions—thereby directly influencing the formation of the local participatory budget. This tool promotes greater transparency, inclusiveness, and accountability in the decision-making processes that affect the daily lives of all citizens.

Young leaders were reminded of the importance of ensuring broader citizen involvement—especially among youth—in the allocation of resources and the adoption of decisions that have long-term implications for the community. Platforms like this can serve as essential tools for empowering citizens and fostering a culture of civic responsibility and engagement.
