As part of efforts to increase youth engagement in addressing problems within their communities, a presentation of the “My Novi Pazar” app was held, showcasing how the platform enables citizens—especially young people—to efficiently report municipal issues and track their resolution. The meeting gathered youth from various local communities in Novi Pazar, introducing the app as a tool for improving the quality of life in their neighborhoods.

One of the app’s key features is the ability to report local problems, such as damaged sidewalks, poor street lighting, waste management issues, or inadequately maintained green spaces. Through the app, users can easily enter details about the issue, attach photos, and pinpoint the exact location. This process is fast and simple, allowing for quicker response by the relevant services.

The app not only allows users to report issues, but also to track their status and resolution progress. Users can see whether an issue has been registered, who is responsible for resolving it, and whether it has been addressed. This transparent system builds trust among citizens, showing that their reports are taken seriously and that concrete steps are being taken to solve them.

Young participants found it especially valuable that this platform encourages direct involvement and empowers citizens to help resolve everyday issues they encounter. They expressed interest in continuing to use the app and actively contributing to problem reporting and service improvement in their communities.

Digital platforms like “My Novi Pazar” play a crucial role in improving efficiency and transparency in resolving municipal problems. These applications enable citizens to directly communicate with responsible institutions and immediately report any issue in their surroundings—without the need for complicated administrative procedures. This system facilitates faster identification of problems, speeding up the response of public services.

One of the major advantages of such platforms is their ability to allow users to track the status of reported problems in real time. The transparency of this process fosters greater trust between citizens and local authorities, as people can see their requests are not being ignored. Moreover, digital tools reduce bureaucracy and the likelihood of errors, as reports and resolutions are automatically tracked.

For local governments, these platforms are valuable tools for better resource management and more efficient planning, as they provide data on municipal issues, priorities, and citizen needs. By using such applications, processes become faster, and administration becomes more transparent and easier to monitor.

Through this digital approach, citizens—especially young people—can become more active in shaping better living conditions in their communities, while local authorities can respond more effectively to public needs. Digital platforms offer modern tools for everyday challenges, making local governance more accessible and communities better places to live.
