Participation at the seminar “European Labor Law and Social Security Law”

The president of Association MONITOR Aleksandar R. Ivanovic took part at the seminar “European Labor Law and Social Security Law” held in Szeged (Hungary) from 10 to 12 May 2011, organized by Martin Luter of the University of Halle-Wittenberg and University of Szeged.

At the opening of the conference, the attendees addressed:

  • Dr. József Hajdú, Faculty of Law, University of Szeged (Hungary),
  • Dr. Wolfhard Kohte, Law School Martin Luter University of Halle-Wittenberg University (Germany);
  • Dr. Teun Jaspers, Faculty of Law, University of Utrecht (Netherlands).

Within a three-day seminar, a series of lectures in the field of labor and social law were held by professors, assistants and post-graduate students from Germany, Holland, Hungary and Belgium. In addition to scientific knowledge, the lectures were also content various empirical experiences regarding the introduction of European law into national legislation, above all the experience of member states, ie the founder of the EU, such as the Netherlands, then Germany and those who joined the EU in the enlargement process, such as Hungary.

The aim of this seminar was to create a basis for discussing further possibilities of cooperation in the form of:

  • Student exchange;
  • The European curriculum development curriculum is a European work and social security law, with a special emphasis on the situation in Southeast Europe;
  • Exchange of professors (opportunities for organizing courses in the field of European labor and social law in basic academic graduate, master and postgraduate studies at Universities in different regions of South East Europe);
  • Organization and implementation of joint research projects in the field of labor and social law.
