Mr Aleksandar R. Ivanovic, president of the association “MONITOR”, gave a lecture, 22. March 2013. year at course of Intercultural Understanding, Human Rights and Satisfaction, on the topic of “Tolerance as a necessary factor of intercultural understanding and peaceful resolution of conflicts”.

Course from the subject Intercultural understanding, human rights and reconciliation is being realized within the regional project of the Norwegian Helsinki Committee from Oslo under the title “Build Bridges, Not Walls: The Role of the University in Peace Building”. The partner on the project is the International University in Novi Pazar, which is organizing lectures in the summer semester 2012/2013 year for undergraduate degree students.

The objective of the lecture was to familiarize students with the meaning of tolerance, as well as the relation between tolerance and intercultural understanding. Also, the lecture was intended to familiarize students with the nature of the conflict, i.e. with the process of creation and the development of one conflict, in order to adopt knowledge of the most flexible methods for conflict management, or for peaceful resolution of conflict.
