One month Bar Exam Preparation Seminar in organization of CSO Monitor and OSCE Mission to Serbia finished

On December 10, 2019, the last lecture was held as part of the Preparatory Seminar for Bar Exam. After the last lecture, a ceremony was held for awarding certificates to the participants who were attended the largest number of lectures at the seminar. The certificates were presented by Micaela Thurman, OSCE Mission to Serbia, Project Manager and Dr. Aleksandar Ivanovic, President of CSO Monitor.

Seminar started on November 13, 2019 and was attended by 35 selected candidates from from public and private institutions from Novi Pazar, Raska, Sjenica, Tutin and Prijepolje.  11 lecturers,  professors and practitioners including practicing judges, prosecutors and lawyers through 26 sessions delivered 60 hours of lectures in 15 different fields of law (Family law, Inheritance law, Introduction to Civil law, Obligatory law, Property law, Commercial Law (Bankruptcy and Liquidation), Commercial Law (Banking and Securities), Commercial Law (Status Issues),  International Private Law (Business Agreement), Administrative law, Labor law, Constitutional law, Civil Procedure law, Criminal Law (General and Special Part), Criminal Procedure Law), offering a broad perspective to best prepare participants for the exam which combines theory and practice.

During the seminar, each participant was provided with a complete set of bar exam preparation manuals by “Projuris” publisher, to support their preparation efforts.

The seminar was implemented by the OSCE Mission to Serbia in cooperation with the CSO Monitor from Novi Pazar, with the financial support of the Government of Switzerland.

Second round of Bar Exam Preparatory Seminar for young legal professionals from South Western Serbia will be launched at spring of 2020.
