The regional meeting of the global initiative Partnership for Open Government Europe was held in the capital of Italy, Rome, from October 11 to 12, 2022. This year’s regional meeting was hosted by the governments of Italy and Estonia.

The regional meeting brought together the most open governments both at the national and local levels in Europe, as well as interested parties, with the aim of energizing the communities participating in this initiative, raising collective ambition and generating new political support to make governments more transparent, accountable and open towards citizens, and to address current regional and global challenges.

The key topics on the agenda of this meeting were the fight against corruption, digital innovation and democratic participation.

In front of the city of Novi Pazar, which was accepted as a member of the Partnership for Open Government at the local level this year, together with 11 other cities from Europe, Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Ivanović, president of CSO MONITOR, as one of the contact persons of this initiative for this local self-government.
