The twenty-fourth consultation held as part of the presentation of the My Novi Pazar application represents a significant step in advancing civic participation among young people from local communities, with a particular focus on the use of social media and online forums as channels for communication and activism. Participants concluded that this event plays a key role in empowering youth to take part in social processes with the aim of contributing to the overall development of the local community.

Youth civic participation is increasingly recognized as a crucial element in building a healthy and functional society. Young people—especially those from local communities—often face challenges in accessing information and influencing decisions that directly affect their lives. That’s why it is important to highlight that the My Novi Pazar app, designed as a platform for direct interaction between citizens and local authorities, gives young people the opportunity to take part firsthand in shaping their communities and making their voices heard.

Since young people are increasingly active on social media and digital platforms, it is essential to create conditions that allow them to participate in decision-making processes through online forums and other digital tools. These consultations enable youth to connect with key stakeholders, as well as other community members, increasing their level of involvement and interest in civic affairs.

The session held in Novi Pazar had a particularly strong impact on promoting transparency and accountability among local authorities. Through digital channels, information about various projects and initiatives becomes available in real time, allowing citizens—especially young ones—to track progress, ask questions, and offer suggestions. This process not only enhances awareness but also creates opportunities for more active youth participation in decision-making. It also helps them develop critical thinking skills and responsible civic behavior.

Globally popular, social media and online forums also enable young people to exchange experiences, launch initiatives, and organize events at the local level. These tools provide easier access to relevant information and connect young people with various organizations and institutions that can help them implement their ideas and achieve their goals.

Thanks to the My Novi Pazar platform, young people not only gain easier access to specific insights and concrete information but also become active agents of change in their communities.
